Adult comics platforms

Adult comics platforms fall into five groups, and the group tells you most of what you need to know about price, censorship and where the adult catalog opens. Sorting them first saves a lot of tabs.

Licensed hentai stores publish Japanese work in English: FAKKU sells books and a subscription, and Irodori Comics sells DRM-free doujinshi PDFs one at a time. Korean webtoon stores sell vertical-scroll episodes for coins or a membership, and they keep the explicit editions on their websites because of app store rules. Western members sites charge for an archive of porn comics made in the US and Europe, usually through a card processor that bills once a month. Mature mainstream readers allow sexual themes but not explicit sex, and they are the right place for romance and BL that stops short of graphic scenes. Creator platforms are where artists post or sell their own work: pixiv and Newgrounds are free to browse, itch.io sells downloads, and DeviantArt hosts mature galleries.
