In short
- TOPTOON Plus now runs as "Toptoon" at global.toptoon.com, and DAYcomics redirects there too.
- Coins are gone for new buyers. Reading is by membership, billed monthly, every three months or every six months.
- The membership price is shown only after you sign in, and there are no refunds.
- Even the free episodes need a login. Adult series sit behind an NSFW switch that also needs an account.
- No official iPhone or Android app turned up, so this is a website service.
What is TOPTOON Plus now?
TOPTOON Plus is the English edition of the Korean adult webtoon platform Toptoon. It opened on July 1, 2021, according to a press release from December that year, which also said it had English versions of over 200 works at the time. No newer catalog figure has been published.
The name on the door has changed. Typing toptoonplus.com now redirects to global.toptoon.com, which calls itself "Toptoon", and the terms name the operator as TOPCO GLOBAL INC. The footer says All webcomics published by TOPCO GLOBAL INC. are protected under Copyright law.
, and titles are marked "Original". It is a licensed publisher of its own series. The site's menu runs Plan, Weekly, Chat, Genres, New, Animation and Ranking.
For a wider view of where Toptoon sits among the other adult webtoon services, see the platforms we cover.
What happened to DAYcomics?
DAYcomics now redirects to TOPTOON. Since December 2025, daycomics.com serves only a redirect script that sends visitors to global.toptoon.com, and the page is byte for byte the same as the one on toptoonplus.com. Archived copies show DAYcomics still running as its own site on December 6, 2025 and the redirect in place by December 15, 2025.
We found no announcement naming DAYcomics on Toptoon's notice board. The two were connected well before the switch: the old DAYcomics iPhone app was sold by TOPCO CO.,LTD, and that app was last updated on December 9, 2023. If you had a DAYcomics account, the destination is the Toptoon site and its terms. What happened to DAYcomics purchases is not explained anywhere we could find, so ask Toptoon support before assuming anything carried over.
Who TOPTOON suits
Toptoon fits a reader who wants one recurring price for a Korean adult webtoon catalog and reads on a computer or in a phone browser. Membership means no per-episode sums.
It fits badly for anyone who wants to know the price before creating an account, anyone who wants a refund safety net, and anyone who reads mainly in apps. Readers who prefer to pay only for what they read have Lezhin, which still sells episodes for coins.
The catalog and genres
Toptoon publishes Korean webtoons in English, with an Animation tab alongside. The Genres menu lists, in order: ALL, New, School Life, Vanilla, BL, Action, Slice of Life, Drama, Historical, Supernatural and Horror/Thriller. The genre data on individual titles also uses Romance, Office, Isekai and College.
Logged out, the genre listing returns 81 titles, all flagged as non-mature. The adult part of the catalog does not appear until an account switches NSFW mode off, so the true size of the 18+ side cannot be seen from outside. Readers who mainly want drama or period stories can compare the field on drama comics and webtoons and historical webtoons.
New episodes follow a weekly schedule. The FAQ says Updates for ongoing series are uploaded on a designated day of the week at 00:00 UTC worldwide.
Adult content and the NSFW switch
Toptoon is an adult service. Its terms carry the disclaimer that this site contains sexually oriented material intended for individuals 18 years of age or older and of legal age to view sexually explicit material
.
The site opens with NSFW mode on, which hides mature series. To turn it off, you confirm your age:
Please confirm that you're 18 or older to disable NSFW mode. Are you over the age of 18? NO YES
Logged out, YES sends you back to the home page with nothing changed, so the switch needs an account as well. The FAQ says mature series can only be accessed after age verification
and does not explain what that verification is. It also says some series can only be seen once you purchase coins or become a member. All hidden series will be unlocked within 48 hours of your first purchase
, so part of the catalog stays hidden even after the age step.
There is no statement on censorship. Toptoon does not say whether mature series are cut, mosaicked or uncensored.
What is free on TOPTOON
The first few episodes of a series, after login. One title page showed 4 Episode for Free
, with episodes 0 to 3 marked Log in and watch for free
and the rest marked Membership
. Without an account you cannot read any of it.
The home page's description used to promise free all-ages reading: one read showed Enjoy our completed all-ages series for FREE
, and a later one showed only The official Toptoon platform
. So treat the login-only first episodes as the free part. For free reading elsewhere, see free adult webtoons.
TOPTOON membership
Membership is the product now. The FAQ describes it as a subscription-based plan that grants you unlimited access to all our exclusive series
, and episode lists mark the paid episodes "Membership".
The terms set three billing periods: The premium membership can be charged monthly, every three month, or every six month.
It will continue and automatically renew until terminated
. No annual plan is mentioned, and no free trial was visible.
What it costs is not public. The Plan page redirects to the login screen, so no price can be quoted here without an account, and no store listing exists to fall back on. When the figures can be checked, they go on our TOPTOON Plus price page.
The end of TOPTOON coins
Toptoon used to sell coins for single episodes. The FAQ now says:
The coin service has been discontinued and replaced with a monthly membership subscription model that allows unlimited access to a wide variety of content. You can still use any remaining coins to permanently purchase episodes
So leftover coins still work, and episodes bought with them are kept. The terms still carry a "Coin Purchase and Usage" section and say bonus coins may be subject to expiration
, so anyone with a balance should spend it.
One loose end: the notice board lists an October 2025 notice titled "Coin Product Service Resumed". The FAQ says coins are discontinued, and no coin packs are offered for sale on the public pages, so we treat the FAQ as current. If coins return, the price page will say so.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time. The FAQ says to do it from your profile settings
, and the terms add email as a second route: You can cancel your membership at any time by contacting at our customer service at cs_global@toptoon.com.
Refunds are where Toptoon is strictest. After cancelling, Your benefits will last until the end of the month ... but you will not receive a refund.
For episodes, the FAQ says we can't issue a refund for comics or episodes that you already purchased. All sales are final.
The terms also list payment types that are non-refundable in Canada, the US, Germany, Mexico, the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Italy, the Netherlands and Poland. A six-month plan is therefore a six-month commitment. The general steps are in how to cancel a comic subscription.
Apps, offline reading and Toptoon Chat
- BrowserYesweb only as far as found
No current Toptoon app for English readers turned up. A US App Store search found only a Korean Toptoon app last updated in 2021, Google Play showed no global app, and the site links to none. The notice board does carry a June 2025 "Notice Regarding the Mobile Application". That leaves TOPTOON as a website you read in a desktop or phone browser; reading adult comics on a phone covers the browser route.
Offline reading and downloads are not documented anywhere on the site, and a browser-only service gives no obvious way to do either.
Every page also promotes "Toptoon Chat", which needs a login. Toptoon does not explain what it is on its public pages.
Submitting a series
Toptoon takes pitches, not uploads. The Submission dialog in the footer says: Please download and fill out the "Series Application" form. Make sure to attach at least 3 episodes of your sample. Please send the form and your series sample to our customer support.
There is no self-publishing, and payment terms for creators are not published.
Content rules on TOPTOON
Toptoon has no published content policy for its comics, and we found no statement that all characters are adults in the terms, the FAQ or the NSFW prompt.
The Genres menu has a School Life
tab; logged out, its 16 titles are all flagged as non-mature, and whether any 18+ series appear in it once NSFW mode is off could not be checked without an account.
The terms say users must be at least 14, and must affirm that they are 18 or older, emancipated, or have a parent's or guardian's consent. The adult catalog sits behind the NSFW switch and the age verification described above.
Account and privacy
You need an account for everything, including the free episodes. Logged in, you get Favorites, a Library tab and reading history (the FAQ has an entry titled I want to see my reading history.
); whether history can be deleted is not stated. The privacy policy is at global.toptoon.com/privacy. Toptoon does not publish the name that appears on a card statement.
Pros and cons
Pros

- Cancel from profile settings, or by email
- First episodes free with a login
- Leftover coins still buy episodes you keep
Cons
- Membership price hidden until you sign in
- No refunds, even for the rest of a cancelled month
- No official app found
- Even free reading needs an account
- No word on what happened to DAYcomics purchases
TOPTOON alternatives
Toomics is the closest model: a VIP subscription for most of its catalog, adult series on the website only, and App Store prices you can see before signing up (12 months for $47.99 on the US App Store). It also refunds VIP within 14 days if no VIP content was read, which Toptoon does not. Toomics vs TOPTOON compares the two memberships.
Honeytoon is another web-only adult webtoon site with both coins and subscriptions, and it sells uncensored versions on its top "Ultra" plans. Lezhin is the pick for paying per episode, at about 50 cents for a 20-coin episode on its $9.99 App Store pack, and Manta pairs a membership library with web-only 18+ editions.
The ranked list is on the best adult webtoon platforms page, with a shorter cut on NSFW webtoon sites.
FAQ
Is TOPTOON Plus the same as Toptoon?
Yes. toptoonplus.com redirects to global.toptoon.com, the English Toptoon site run by TOPCO GLOBAL INC.
What happened to DAYcomics?
Since December 2025, daycomics.com redirects to global.toptoon.com with the same redirect page as toptoonplus.com. Toptoon has posted no announcement about it.
Does TOPTOON still sell coins?
No. The FAQ says the coin service was discontinued and replaced by a membership. Coins you already have still buy episodes permanently.
How much is TOPTOON membership?
Toptoon shows the price only after you log in. The terms say membership bills monthly, every three months or every six months, and renews automatically.
Is there a TOPTOON app?
No official English app turned up in US store searches, and the site links to none. Toptoon is read in the browser.
Can I get a refund from TOPTOON?
No. After you cancel, the membership runs to the end of the month without a refund, and the FAQ says all episode sales are final.
Final verdict
Verdict
TOPTOON Plus has become a single-product site: a Korean adult webtoon membership read in the browser. That keeps the maths simple once you are in, but Toptoon asks a lot up front, an account before even the free episodes and a price you see only after signing up, and it refunds nothing. Start with the monthly plan, check that the series you came for are there with NSFW mode off, and only then consider three or six months. Readers who want to see a price first, or want a refund window, will be more comfortable on Toomics.
