Best adult webtoon platforms

Tappytoon runs on points, and it is the one site here that tells you in plain words what each edition contains. Its age notice defines [Uncut] as unabridged editions that may include explicit or adult themes and depictions, and [Steamy] as editions that are partially censored but still carry adult situations. Both are limited to adults who have confirmed their age. The apps carry 16+ and all-ages editions instead.

The arithmetic is easy. One Steamy series charges 300 points an episode. Points packs on the US App Store run 1,400 for $1.99, 3,900 for $4.99 and 17,000 for $19.99, which puts an episode at about 43 cents, 38 cents and 35 cents. Tappytoon Club Standard costs $4.99 a month ($47.99 a year, or $3.99 a month) and pays out 4,400 points on the first day of each cycle, about 14 episodes at 300 points, plus 30 bonus points a day. That is the cheapest route to paid episodes in this list that has a published price. Apple lists two sets of point SKUs at the same price, so the larger pack in each pair is the better buy.

Free reading comes three ways: first episodes on many titles, a Time Till Free episode every 24 hours on marked series, and weekly Free Tickets that open a locked episode for 48 hours. To read 18+ editions you log in, confirm you are over 18 and switch to mature mode; the notice does not say whether that is a typed date or a document check. Purchases are final, and Club is cancelled through the store where you bought it. Offline downloads are not documented in the help center. More on the price side is on the Tappytoon price page.

Manta is RIDI's English app, and it combines a membership library with Gems for the rest. Standard membership costs $4.99 a month in the app and opens an Unlimited Library the company puts at 300+ series; the 12-month plan is $49.90 and the 3-month plan $12.99, both starting in the app only. Premium costs $9.99 in the app or $8.99 on the web, with 1,420 Gems a month. New web members have been offered the first month of Premium at $4.99.

Gems are the pay-per-episode part. Since March 31, 2026 an episode costs 30 to 60 Gems, ten times the old scale, so guides that quote 3 to 6 Gems are out of date. At 1,250 Gems for $9.99 a 40-Gem episode is about 32 cents and a 50-Gem one about 40 cents; at the $1.99 bundle (200 Gems) a 50-Gem episode is about 50 cents. Series you unlock with Gems stay in your library even if the series leaves Manta.

The 18+ full versions are read in a browser; the apps carry versions edited to their age rating. Age is entered when the account is created and cannot be changed afterwards. Free Pass opens one episode per 24 hours on 400+ titles, readable for 72 hours. Downloads for offline reading are open to every user, with no DRM-free files. There are no refunds, and you cancel where you subscribed: App Store, Google Play or the web account.

Toomics is built around VIP, an all-you-can-read subscription, with a separate Store of coin-only titles. The home page claims 50,000+ episodes. The web price page needs an account, so the only numbers visible are the App Store's: 1 month at $8.99 or $9.99 (two rows), 3 months at $17.49 or $23.99, 6 months at $29.49 and 12 months at $47.99, which is $4.00 a month. Which of the paired monthly prices is current is not stated.

Coins cost 1 to 3 per chapter and never expire if bought, but pack sizes and web prices sit behind login, so no dollar price per chapter can be worked out. Free reading is the first three chapters of a series, sometimes more. Toomics' help center says there is no free trial without buying a plan, and members who try to cancel are offered a Free Month that then renews.

Adult series are on the website only. Family Safe mode is on by default, and turning it off takes a self-declaration that you are over 18; in Singapore, Korea, Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia you contact support for a separate check. There is no offline reading. To cancel, use Account Settings on the website (the Free Month offer hides the button until the second or third week) or the App Store or Google Play page if you subscribed there. VIP can be refunded within 14 days if no VIP content was read.

Lezhin has no subscription at all. You buy coins and unlock episodes of licensed Korean romance, BL and GL, and the R-rated editions are on the website and in a separate Android APK called Lezhin Comics PLUS, not in the App Store or Google Play builds. Lezhin's own reply on its App Store page says Due to Apple's policy, mature content cannot be provided on apps and points readers to the website.

The App Store coin list shows 400 coins plus 45 bonus for $9.99, 560 plus 150 for $15.99 and 120 plus 40 for $2.99, next to older SKUs on a different scale. A sample series charges 20 coins an episode, and the tag list runs from 20 to 50-plus coins. At $9.99 for 400 paid coins, a 20-coin episode is about 50 cents (about 45 cents counting the bonus), and a 50-coin one about $1.25. Web prices could not be seen without an account. The PLUS page promises cheaper coins (Save Up to 26% on Coins Daily) and downloads for offline reading.

First episodes of many series are free, some on a timed WUF label whose rules Lezhin does not explain. Turning on mature content needs a login. Coins can be refunded within 7 days of purchase if none were used. Logged out, the genre lists show versions marked (Introduction) and All-Ages Edition. The head-to-head with the closest rival is on the Lezhin versus Tappytoon page.

Lalatoon is Toomics' sister service, and its pricing is the most legible of the Korean sites. Every paid episode on the four series checked costs 3 clovers. Web packs from the January 2025 notice run 25 clovers for $3.99, 60 for $7.49, 140 for $15.49, 290 for $31.99 and 500 for $47.99. That makes an episode about 48 cents on the smallest pack, 37 cents on 60 clovers, 33 cents on the next two and 29 cents on the largest. The live shop needs an account, so those prices may have changed.

The first episodes are free, and after an episode you read, a Wait Till It's Free coupon arrives 72 hours later on eligible series (it does not cover the latest 20 episodes). Paid web clovers last 5 years, bonus ones 1 year, and web and app coins cannot be combined. Refunds are possible within 7 days if no coins were spent.

The 18+ mode is a toggle that needs an account and a click on Are you over the age of 18?. What it adds, and how explicit it is, could not be seen without signing up, and the store apps are rated 12+. Treat the adult catalog as unconfirmed.

Honeytoon is a web-only adult site from Honeytech with no app on either store. The default version of a series is the censored one; uncensored versions carry an UNCENS+ badge and sit behind Ultra plans or tokens. Plans renew every 1, 4, 12 or 24 weeks, and prices appear only after sign-up. A pop-up seen from an EU address read 7.99 per week against a regular 13.49 per month, with no currency sign.

Coins are clearer. Every locked episode on the six series checked costs 9 coins. Two euro packs were visible: 700 coins (350 plus 350 bonus) for EUR 29.99, or about EUR 0.39 an episode, and 2,000 coins (1,000 plus 1,000 bonus) for EUR 49.99, about EUR 0.22. USD prices were not visible.

Cancellation is by email only, to contact@honeytoon.com at least 24 hours before the period ends. Coins and products are generally non-refundable, though a voluntary refund can be requested within 120 days. The payment policy says coins last 12 months while the FAQ still says they have no time limit. The age gate is a click-through question, with a Yoti ID check where local law requires one.

TOPTOON Plus, now branded Toptoon, dropped coins and sells a membership: monthly, every three months or every six months. The price is behind login, which is the main reason it ranks here. The first few episodes of a series are free after you log in, the rest are marked Membership, and leftover coins still buy episodes.

The 18+ side is an NSFW mode on the website. The toggle asks Are you over the age of 18?, and it also needs an account. Terms describe the site as one that contains sexually oriented material. No official app turned up in US store searches. Cancel from profile settings or by email to cs_global@toptoon.com. There are no refunds, not even for the rest of a cancelled month.

Tapas is mostly a free community platform with a premium shelf of licensed webtoons, and the explicit part is a Mature section that exists on the website only. The company's help center says the section is a web-only feature for readers ages 18 and older, dedicated to premium stories with content that cannot be published in the mobile apps. Entry is a login plus a self-declared birthdate. Mature and all-ages versions of a series are separate, and a purchase on one does not carry to the other.

Ink is the currency. Pack prices sit in the logged-in Ink Shop, so no dollar price per episode can be calculated; the last official per-episode figure was 375 or 450 Ink for some new series in 2023, and bundles take 20 or 25 percent off at 10 or 20 locked episodes. Wait Until Free is app-only: one episode per timer, readable for 72 hours, plus up to three ad-unlocked episodes a day. No reader subscription turned up in the help center. Downloaded episodes disappear after 30 days.

WEBTOON is the reference point. Its Originals are free on a weekly schedule, with the newest episodes behind Fast Pass coins and Ad Pass episodes open for three days after you watch ads. Premium plans run $3.99, $9.99, $19.99 and $49.99 a month; the cheapest gives 20 coins plus 2 bonus and no episode discounts. Coins at 10 for $0.99 are about 9.9 cents each, falling to about 9.1 cents on the 300-plus-30 pack. Coins work in the app only, and the per-series Fast Pass price shows only before you unlock.

The Content Guidelines settle the adult question: Full frontal or rear nudity is not allowed and Box and mosaic censoring are not allowed, and graphic sex scenes are banned. A Mature (18+) rating exists for sexual themes without those scenes, and under-18 accounts cannot open it. The age check is a birthdate typed at sign-up. Premium is cancelled through the App Store or Google Play, and some Originals can be downloaded for 30 days.
