In short
- Drama tabs exist on 13 services; Toomics, TOPTOON Plus, Lalatoon, Lezhin, Manta and Tappytoon are the Korean-sourced ones with 18+ editions.
- Membership: Toomics VIP $47.99 a year, Tappytoon Club $47.99 a year or $4.99 a month, Manta Standard $4.99 a month, MangaPlaza Premium $6.99 a month. TOPTOON Plus does not publish its price.
- Per episode: Lalatoon $0.29-$0.48, Manta about $0.32-$0.40, Tappytoon near $0.38-$0.43, Lezhin from about $0.45.
- Free: first episodes everywhere; WEBTOON is free by weekly schedule but its mature series carry no explicit scenes.
Toomics keeps its Drama tab on a ranking page (genre number 5) that its sister service Lalatoon reuses with the same id.
Drama comics focus on serious personal and emotional conflict between realistic characters. The sexual content, when there is any, is a layer on top of that conflict, and it appears only in editions that the service gates behind an adult account. The glossary entry for manhwa covers the Korean side of the word.
Where adult drama manhwa lives
Thirteen: BookWalker, Honeytoon, Lalatoon, Lezhin, MangaPlaza, Manta, Tapas, Tappytoon, Toomics, TOPTOON Plus, WebComics, Webnovel (comics) and WEBTOON. Most have a genre URL of their own. TOPTOON Plus keeps its tabs on one page (global.toptoon.com/genres), Tappytoon filters on its Discover page, and BookWalker and MangaPlaza use genre directories.
Seven of the thirteen are the ones to start with. Toomics, TOPTOON Plus, Lalatoon, Lezhin, Manta and Tappytoon sell Korean titles with an 18+ edition, and Honeytoon adds web-only adult webtoons with an uncensored tier. MangaPlaza's directory counts 776 Drama titles and is the one place here for Japanese manga drama, behind its self-declared 18+ toggle. BookWalker shows Drama as a genre facet over its mature manga.
The other four are mainstream. Tapas is closing on 2027-03-31 (Ink has been off sale since 2026-10-01), WebComics and Webnovel's comics side show no age check and sell no explicit work, and WEBTOON allows mature-rated series with sexual themes while banning nudity and explicit sex. They are useful for drama as such, and none is a source of adult drama.
Pay by the episode or by the month
Run the numbers for one long series of 100 episodes. These figures come from each service's own price lists, and none includes the free episodes at the start.
- Lalatoon: 3 clovers an episode, so $29 to $48 depending on the pack (25 clovers for $3.99 up to 500 for $47.99).
- Manta: 40 to 50 Gems an episode, so about $32 to $40 on the 1,250-Gem pack ($9.99).
- Tappytoon: 300 points an episode, so about $38 to $43 depending on the pack, as 3,900 points cost $4.99 and 1,400 cost $1.99.
- Lezhin: episodes from 20 coins; at $5.99 for 240 coins, 100 episodes of 20 coins would be about $50, or about $45 on the $9.99 pack.
A membership beats that quickly. Manta Standard is $4.99 a month, $12.99 for three months or $49.90 for twelve, and gives the Unlimited Library of 300+ series. Tappytoon Club is $4.99 a month or $47.99 a year, with 4,400 points awarded on the first day of each cycle. Toomics VIP is $8.99 or $9.99 for one month (the App Store shows both) and $47.99 for a year, which is $4.00 a month; Store titles are excluded from VIP and cost 1-3 coins each. MangaPlaza Premium is $6.99 a month with a one-time 7-day trial. TOPTOON Plus has gone to membership only, with coins discontinued, and does not publish a price without an account.

Free drama, and where it ends
Toomics gives the first three chapters, sometimes more, plus Free Passes on some series. Lalatoon adds a Wait Till It's Free coupon every 72 hours on eligible series. Manta's Free Pass opens an episode for 72 hours and resets every 24. Tappytoon's Time Till Free runs every 24 hours on marked titles. TOPTOON Plus opens the first few episodes of a series after login. MangaPlaza opens the first chapter of most titles. For the whole free picture, see free adult webtoons.
WEBTOON is the one place where long drama series are free on a weekly schedule: Originals update free, the newest episodes sit behind Fast Pass coins (app only), and Ad Pass opens episodes for three days after ads.
Honeytoon and the manga stores
Honeytoon has a Drama tab in a browser-only service. The first few episodes of each series are free (a series sample shows a prologue plus three episodes). After that an episode shows as 9 coins, and the packs listed are 700 coins (350 plus 350 bonus) for 29.99 EUR and 2,000 coins for 49.99 EUR. That is about 0.39 EUR an episode on the small pack and 0.23 EUR on the large one, so 100 episodes cost between 23 and 39 EUR. Uncensored versions sit behind its Ultra plans or tokens, and cancelling a subscription means emailing contact@honeytoon.com at least 24 hours before the period ends.
BookWalker and MangaPlaza sell Japanese manga, not Korean webtoons, so their drama arrives by chapter or volume. BookWalker's Ecchi collection, the page its genre facets sit on, holds 9,687 books, with 1,937 hidden by its default restrictions. BookWalker's coins are worth $0.01 each, mature titles stay hidden until you switch them on in a signed-in settings toggle, and auto-buy is stopped from the Series page or the Auto Buy List. MangaPlaza points are also $0.01 each, and it works in a browser only.

Age gates, cancelling and phones
Toomics asks for a self-declaration to switch off Family Safe mode, with separate verification in some countries, and its adult series are not in its apps. Cancel VIP under Account Settings on the website or on the App Store or Google Play subscription page; support can cancel web subscriptions by hand but not iOS ones. TOPTOON Plus shows a self-declaration prompt and then asks for a login, switches NSFW mode on the website, and cancels from Profile settings or by email to cs_global@toptoon.com. No global TOPTOON Plus app turned up in US store searches. Manta and Tappytoon keep their 18+ editions on the web, and Lezhin shows R-rated titles on the web and in an Android PLUS APK. The practical rule: on a phone, read adult drama in the browser.
