Best Lezhin Alternatives

Manta, run by Korea's RIDI, solves Lezhin's main problem with a membership. Standard costs $4.99 a month in the US App Store and opens the Unlimited Library, which Manta puts at 300+ series. Premium ($8.99 a month on the web, $9.99 in the app) adds 1,420 Gems a month for titles outside the library. Bought separately, 1,250 Gems cost $9.99 and a comic episode typically costs 30 to 60 Gems, so a 40-Gem episode is about $0.32, cheaper than Lezhin's 20-coin episode.

Romance and BL are what Manta is built around, and since April 2026 it has manga as well. Downloads for offline reading are open to all users in the app. The 18+ "[Full ver.]" editions are web only, so the iPhone situation is the same as Lezhin's, and Android has no adult APK. Payments are final, which is stricter than Lezhin's 7-day coin refund.

Tappytoon licenses romance fantasy and BL manhwa, which overlaps heavily with what Lezhin readers buy. Its 18+ labels are the clearest in the niche: [Steamy] for partially censored editions and [Uncut] for the unabridged work. Both open only on the website, after a login and an age confirmation; the apps carry all-ages versions.

A typical episode costs 300 points. At 3,900 points for $4.99 that is about $0.38, and Club Standard ($4.99 a month or $47.99 a year) adds 4,400 points a month plus 30 a day. Free first episodes, a 24-hour Time Till Free timer on marked titles and weekly 48-hour Free Tickets give more free reading than Lezhin's free episodes. Steamy and all-ages versions are separate purchases, and Tappytoon gives no refunds.

Toomics is the pick for a Lezhin reader who wants one bill. VIP membership gives unlimited reading of VIP series; titles in the Toomics Store still cost 1 to 3 coins a chapter. The 12-month App Store item is $47.99, while two monthly items appear at $8.99 and $9.99 and the web price needs an account. It has a BL genre tab.

Adult series are website only, Family Safe mode is on by default, and there are no downloads. Coins never expire, and VIP comes with 5 Gift Coins a month that do.

MangaPlaza swaps webtoons for Japanese manga and has the biggest BL shelf here: 2,140 Boys' Love titles, 1,935 of them tagged Mature 18+, plus 1,564 Adult Romance titles. Premium costs $6.99 a month with a one-time 7-day free trial. Points are a straight 1 cent each, so a listing priced "USD 1.99 / 199pt" costs exactly that.

The limits are strict. MangaPlaza works in a browser only, with no app, no downloads and no offline reading, and its terms say it is available only in the United States. It publishes nothing about mosaics or censorship. The 18+ shelves appear after a self-declared toggle.

Lalatoon keeps Lezhin's pay-per-episode model and makes it cheaper and flatter. Each paid episode on the series checked costs 3 clovers, and its January 2025 price notice lists packs from 25 clovers for $3.99 to 500 for $47.99, so about $0.29 to $0.48 an episode. BL and GL have their own genre tabs. One Wait Till It's Free coupon arrives 72 hours after reading an episode on eligible series, except for the latest 20 episodes.

The 18+ mode needs an account and a self-declared age, so the size of the adult catalog could not be checked. The store apps are rated 12+.

Honeytoon sells uncensored versions of many series on its "Ultra" plans or with tokens, the only service here that says so. Every locked episode on the series checked costs 9 coins; seen from an EU connection, 2,000 coins cost EUR 49.99, about EUR 0.22 an episode. Its genre menu runs from Romance and Office to In-Law and Harem but has no BL tab, so it suits Lezhin's straight romance and drama readers.

Honeytoon is web only, plan prices show only after sign-up, and cancelling takes an email to support at least 24 hours before renewal.
