Lezhin coins price

How Lezhin pricing works

Lezhin Comics sells episodes for coins. There is no monthly plan on the US site or in the App Store list, so nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. Each series sets its own episode price, and Lezhin prints it as a tag: the Browse by Tag page has price tags from 20COINS through 25COINS, 30COINS and 40COINS to "50↑COINS". The page data for The Beast of Blue Obsidian, for one, shows 20 coins an episode.

The web coin shop needs a login. The prices below are the US App Store's purchase list.

Apple's list also carries rows on a different scale, such as "20 Coins" for $4.99 and "42 Coins" for $9.99. Those look like older items, and Apple does not say which rows are live. Google Play shows only the range for Lezhin's in-app items, $0.49 to $94.99.

What one Lezhin episode costs

Take the $9.99 pack of 400 coins plus 45 bonus coins and a 20-coin episode:

• Paid coins only: $9.99 / 400 = about 2.5 cents a coin, so 20 coins = about $0.50
• Counting the bonus: $9.99 / 445 = about 2.25 cents a coin, so 20 coins = about $0.45
• A 50-coin episode on the same pack: 50 x 2.25 cents = about $1.12

So the Lezhin coins price per episode runs from roughly 45 cents to over a dollar, and the series tag tells you which end you are on before you buy. A 60-episode series at 20 coins is 1,200 coins, close to three of the $9.99 packs.

The bonus coins carry a caveat. Lezhin's terms say coins may be subject to expiration, which period will be specified when you make a purchase, and the expiry of bonus coins is not published anywhere public. The paid-coin figure is the safer one to plan with.

Which pack gives the most coins per dollar

The bonus share changes a lot between packs. Counting bonus coins in, the App Store rows work out like this:

The small $2.99 pack is the best rate on the list, and the $12.99 and 200-coin rows are the worst. Apple does not say whether any of these are one-time or first-purchase offers, so the cheap row may not repeat.

Website, App Store, Google Play and the PLUS app

Lezhin runs three ways in, and they do not carry the same catalog:

• The App Store app (rated 12+) and the Google Play app (rated 13+) carry no R-rated titles.
• The website carries the full catalog. The 18+ switch next to the coin icon sends logged-out visitors to the login page.
• Lezhin Comics PLUS is an Android APK downloaded from lezhinus.com. Its page promises Access All R-Rated Content!, offline downloads and Better Coin Deals!, with Save Up to 26% on Coins Daily.

Lezhin prints no pack prices for the PLUS app, so the 26% cannot be checked against the App Store list. iPhone readers who want mature titles use the website, where the coin shop needs an account.

What is free on Lezhin

The first episodes of many series are free, shown on the rankings as "5 Eps free" or "9 Eps free". The Free page also uses a WUF label for titles that open over time, but Lezhin publishes no rules for how WUF works. The App Store listing says free content can be read without signing up; buying with coins needs an account.

Renewal, cancelling and refunds

Coin packs are one-off purchases. No Lezhin plan renews, so there is no subscription to cancel. Services that do renew, and the store routes for stopping them, are covered in how to cancel a comic subscription.

Refunds follow the terms: You may request a refund within 7 days of your purchase of Virtual Currency. However, refunds are not provided if you have used any portion of that Virtual Currency purchase. One episode unlocked from a pack ends the refund for that pack.

How to pay less on Lezhin

• Check the coin tag on the series page first. A 20COINS title costs less than half of a 50↑COINS title per episode.
• Prefer packs with a big bonus share: 120 + 40 and 560 + 150 beat the plain 240 and 200-coin rows on the App Store list.
• Read every free episode before buying, then buy only what the series needs. Unused coins are refundable for 7 days.
• Android readers can compare the PLUS app's coin prices, which Lezhin says are lower, after installing it.

What needs an account to see

The web coin prices and bonus rates, the PLUS app's prices, bonus-coin expiry and the R-rated catalog all need a login. The figures here come from the App Store list, the tag page and public series pages.
