Best WEBTOON Alternatives for Adults

Tappytoon is a licensed manhwa store whose 18+ editions come with honest labels: [Uncut] for the unabridged work, which it says may include explicit or adult themes and depictions, and [Steamy] for partially censored editions. The catalog leans to romance fantasy and BL, which is where many WEBTOON romance readers already are.

It costs more than WEBTOON's free Originals. A typical episode is 300 points; 3,900 points cost $4.99 in the US App Store, so about $0.38 an episode. Club Standard, $4.99 a month or $47.99 a year, adds 4,400 points monthly. The free routes will feel familiar: Time Till Free unlocks one episode every 24 hours on marked titles, much like WEBTOON's free timers, and weekly Free Tickets open a locked episode for 48 hours. The 18+ editions are web only, behind a login and age confirmation, and all purchases are final.

Manta is the closest app experience to WEBTOON with an adult side. The first few episodes of each series are free, and a Free Pass unlocks one episode every 24 hours on more than 400 titles, each readable for 72 hours. Its iPhone app is rated 17+, and anyone can download episodes for offline reading.

The explicit editions, marked "[Full ver.]", are on Manta's website only, for readers whose sign-up age is 18 or older. Paying readers get a library of 300+ series on the Standard plan ($4.99 a month in the US App Store); single episodes typically cost 30 to 60 Gems, about $0.32 for a 40-Gem episode at 1,250 Gems for $9.99.

Lezhin Comics has licensed BL and GL lists with their own genre tabs, and an R-rated catalog on its website. On Android it also offers the "Lezhin Comics PLUS" APK from its own site, which carries R-rated titles and offline downloads; the iPhone and Play Store apps carry none.

There is no subscription. Episodes cost 20 to 50+ coins, and the US App Store sells 400 coins plus 45 bonus for $9.99, so a 20-coin episode is about $0.50. First episodes of many series are free. Mature titles appear only after a logged-in adult switches content mode on.

Honeytoon is the furthest from WEBTOON: an explicit, web-only adult site with an "Uncensored" section. Uncensored versions sit behind its "Ultra" plans or need tokens. The first few episodes of each series are free; after that a locked episode costs 9 coins, about EUR 0.22 to EUR 0.39 depending on the pack shown from an EU connection.

There is no app, plan prices appear only after sign-up, and a subscription is cancelled by emailing support at least 24 hours before renewal. In some regions Honeytoon checks age through Yoti; elsewhere it asks a yes or no question.

Toomics sells a VIP membership for unlimited reading of its VIP series, and claims 50,000+ episodes in total. The US App Store lists the 12-month item at $47.99 and monthly items at $8.99 and $9.99; the web price needs an account. The first three chapters of a series are free.

Adult series are on the website only, and Family Safe mode is on by default, so new readers have to confirm they are 18 to see them. There are no downloads.
