What WEBTOON charges for
Most of WEBTOON is free. Originals publish free on a weekly schedule, and the CANVAS self-publishing section is free. Coins pay for Fast Pass, the newest episodes before they go free, plus Title Purchase on some completed series. Mature-rated series exist, but WEBTOON's Content Guidelines ban graphic depictions of explicit sexual acts

WEBTOON coins price per coin
Bigger packs give a few bonus coins, so the price per coin drifts down:

The gap between the smallest and largest pack is under a cent a coin. Apple's list also shows rows that break the ladder, "[US] 100 + 8 Coins" at $5.99 and "200+8 Coins" at $4.99, which look like promotions. The full shop is only visible in the app.
What one Fast Pass episode costs
WEBTOON does not publish a per-episode price. Its help center says The price for Fast Pass may differ depending on the series
and tells readers to check the pop-up before unlocking. The one figure on record comes from the press: when WEBTOON dropped the Daily Pass on May 29, 2025, K-Comics Beat reported that affected episodes cost three coins each. At three coins:
- 10-coin pack: 3 x 9.9 cents = about $0.30 an episode
- 300 + 30 pack: 3 x 9.1 cents = about $0.27 an episode
Treat that as an example, not a rule, and read the pop-up for the series you follow. The Daily Pass change itself is covered in WEBTOON removes Daily Pass.
Title Purchase unlocks all purchasable episodes of a completed series at once for a discounted price
on selected completed series. The discount is shown in the app only. Unlocked Fast Pass episodes stay available while the series remains on our service

WEBTOON Premium plans
WEBTOON Premium replaced Monthly Coin Premium on September 17, 2025. Each plan is a monthly coin top-up with bonus coins and ad-free Originals, and all but the cheapest add episode discounts:

The $3.99 plan is poor value as a coin purchase: $3.99 / 22 coins is about 18 cents a coin, close to double the 10-coin pack. What it buys is ad-free Originals. The higher plans beat the matching packs slightly on coins and add the episode discounts, whose size WEBTOON does not print. Premium does not remove every ad; WEBTOON lists CANVAS ads and the video ads for unlocking paid episodes among those that stay.
Free ways to read
- Originals on their weekly schedule, and all of CANVAS.
- Many Fast Pass episodes turn free after a set time.
- Ad Pass: watch ads to unlock some paid episodes, which then stay open for 3 days.
- Free coins, which expire and are spent before bought coins.
Bought coins do not expire, so a pack bought during a sale can sit in the account until you need it.
App vs website
This is the main quirk of WEBTOON pricing. Coins are exclusive to the Android and iOS WEBTOON app
: you cannot buy them or spend them on webtoons.com, even though the site reads the same series. All coin payments go through Apple or Google, and Premium is an App Store or Google Play subscription. There is no web price to compare with the store price.
Coins need a WEBTOON account, though iOS allows a guest purchase. Mature-rated series are hidden from accounts whose birth date is under 18.
Renewal and how to cancel WEBTOON Premium
Premium charges automatically on a recurring basis each month
. WEBTOON cannot cancel it for you; it lives in the store:
- iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, WEBTOON, Cancel Subscription.
- Android: the Google Play subscriptions page, WEBTOON, Cancel subscription. Uninstalling the app does not cancel it.

Refunds
Coins already spent on Fast Pass are not refundable. For unspent purchases WEBTOON points to the stores: You can cancel your purchases and receive refunds through Google Play or the App Store
. Apple and Google decide.
How to pay less on WEBTOON
- Wait. Fast Pass episodes go free on a schedule, and Ad Pass opens some for 3 days.
- Skip the $3.99 Premium plan if you want coins; the 10-coin pack is cheaper per coin.
- For a finished series, check Title Purchase before unlocking episode by episode.
- Buy the 100 + 8 pack or larger only if you will spend it: the bulk saving is under a cent a coin, and bought coins keep anyway.
What needs the app to see
Coins per Fast Pass episode, the full coin shop, the Title Purchase discount and the size of Premium's episode discounts are visible only in the app. Everything here is from the App Store list and WEBTOON's help center.
