What Letters for Lucardo is about
Ed Fiedler is a palace scribe, and the store copy introduces him plainly: Ed Fiedler is a common man. 61 years old
. Lucardo von Gishaupt is an aristocrat of the Night Court, the eternally 33-year-old Lucardo
. The series is the romance between them, a scribe and an immortal noble, with the age gap and the class gap both written into the premise.
Iron Circus tags the books erotica, LGBTQIA+, monsters, paranormal and romance. It is a queer romance with a supernatural lead, and the listing opens with "ADULTS ONLY". Few listings in monster romance state ages at all; this one gives both in the first lines.
How explicit it is
Iron Circus sells Letters for Lucardo in its Erotica collection and labels each listing "ADULTS ONLY". The store has no age gate of its own; the label on the listing is the warning.
The volumes and what they cost
The first book is described as the first book in a planned four-volume series
. The other two volumes on sale, Fortunate Beasts and The Silent Lord, are listed together on the Letters for Lucardo collection page. The fourth has not been announced on the pages we used.
| Format | Per volume | All three on sale |
|---|---|---|
| Softcover | $15.00 | $45.00 |
| DRM-free PDF | $8.00 | $24.00 |
The PDF costs about half the print price. Iron Circus emails digital orders through Shopify or SendOwl, according to its FAQ, and the files carry no DRM: they open in any PDF reader and stay readable offline. Our page on comics you can download DRM-free lists other stores that work this way.
Refunds are less clear. The store FAQ says We do not offer cancellations, refunds, or returns
; a separate refund page sets out a 30-day return policy for physical items. Neither page mentions PDFs, so treat a digital purchase as final.
Who publishes it
Iron Circus Comics is an independent US publisher that sells its own books from its own store, including the Smut Peddler anthologies and a shelf of erotic graphic novels, each in print and as a DRM-free PDF. There is no subscription and no reader app: you buy each book once. The store ships outside the US; its FAQ answers that question with "Yes, we do!"
Is Letters for Lucardo free anywhere?
Not that we found. Iron Circus lists no free edition, and we could not find an official webcomic version online, so whether one still exists is unconfirmed. Readers who want to sample Iron Circus erotica before paying can download Iris and Angel: One, a free DRM-free PDF from the same store.
