In short

  • Sticky Dilly Buns is complete at 336 strips, collected in two volumes.
  • Every strip is free on pixietrixcomix.com; the FIRST button on the comic page starts at strip one.
  • Volumes 1 and 2 are $9.99 each in print from the Pixie Trix store, $19.98 for both. Digital books are on Gumroad and Kindle.
  • Like Ménage à 3, it is a sex comedy with an adult cast and no 18+ gate on the site. We treat it as risqué, short of porn.

What Sticky Dilly Buns is about

The store copy sets it up in one sentence: Dillon's best friend, roommate, and fellow actress Amber is an ex-porn star trying to go mainstream. Amber's sister Ruby completes the household. Volume 2's listing turns to Dillon's "career woes". Like the parent strip, the store copy frames the cast by their working lives, and every one of them is an adult with a career.

The comic is a spin-off of Ménage à 3, the longer Pixie Trix strip set in Montreal. Amber the ex-porn star belongs to both: the Ma3 store copy lists her in its cast as well, so readers of the parent strip already know one of the three leads.

Who makes it

The team box on the comic page credits Gisèle Lagacé as creator, writer and artist, with T Campbell as editor. The Volume 1 listing adds a second name: "By Gisele Lagace & M. Victoria Robado". Lagacé co-founded Pixie Trix Comix with David Lumsdon in 2008, and the portal is part of Hiveworks.

How explicit is Sticky Dilly Buns?

We have not rated it, and the site gives no rating of its own. There is no 18+ gate on Pixie Trix, which sets it apart from comics like Oglaf or The Cummoner, where a click-through comes before anything else.

The digital books are sold on Gumroad, and Gumroad's rules bar Adult comics with nudity or sexual acts. That points the same way as the missing gate. We list Sticky Dilly Buns as a risqué comedy, the same call we make for Ménage à 3, and readers who want explicit comics will find them elsewhere on our list of NSFW webcomics.

Where to read Sticky Dilly Buns free

On the Sticky Dilly Buns comic page. The FIRST button there goes to strip one. The archive page returns a server error, though it still displays, so starting from FIRST is the reliable route. The pages we used do not give a start or end date for the run.

Sticky Dilly Buns in print and digital

Two print volumes cover the whole comic. Volume 1 starts at the beginning, and Volume 2 Collects strips 151 to 336 (the final portion) of the online comic. Each is $9.99, so the complete story in print costs $19.98, about a fifth of what the ten Ma3 volumes cost.

The Pixie Trix digital books page sends buyers to Gumroad and to Kindle. We have not recorded the digital prices.

Pixie Trix Comix store page for digital books

Start with the parent strip if you have not read it: Ménage à 3 is free and finished at 1,512 strips. For comedy where the sex is on the page, Oglaf and The Rock Cocks are both free. Our page on erotic comics covers the milder, story-first end of adult comics, and free adult comic sites lists more that cost nothing. The best NSFW comics sites is the place for explicit work.
